Homeschooling in an Election Year

Notgrass History

Bryan Knowles and Walker Frizzell are two young men who used Exploring Government by Ray Notgrass in high school. Listen to their experience and perspective on how this curriculum helped build a foundation for their future study and work.

Exploring Government is more than just checking off a box or earning a grade. It is about shaping students into citizens of character and integrity to help form the next generation of Americans.” - Bryan Knowles

2024 is an election year.

Does that thought fill you with excitement or dread--or a little bit of both?

The day-to-day news coming out of Washington, D.C., can be discouraging. But learning about how government works and how dedicated public servants have contributed to our country can give us a feeling of optimism for the future.

Give your child a solid foundation for understanding what's going on and thinking about how he or she can make a positive contribution to your community, state, and country.

Exploring Government is a one-semester course for high school students that provides one half-year of credit in government and (optionally) in English. Your student will explore the government of the United States from its beginning to the present with special emphasis on the Biblical basis for government and on the U.S. Constitution.
