Seasons

Sometimes it's hard to appreciate the joy of what you have when responsibility is staring at you every day.

Here is our final special edition of Winter Cheer for Homeschooling Mamas.

I hope this video blesses your family and is a reminder to

be thankful for all of God's blessings.

Please share this page with your friends who may need some encouragement.

No Pressure!

Sometimes homeschooling mamas put too much pressure on themselves to fit their children and families into someone else's mold.

Instead of comparing your family to other homeschooling families, relax and enjoy this time with your children. Relish in the blessings that God has given to your family.

Just . . . Because

Being a homeschool mama is such a blessing in the wintertime! When there is new snow, you have the freedom to stop what you are doing and build a snowman with your children, just play in the snow, or take a 'just because' day anytime at all. Enjoy the freedom of homeschooling in the wintertime and all year round!

Come back on Monday for another dose of winter cheer!

It May be Cold Outside, But . . .

Even during the winter you can share God's wonder with your children. Things look so different when it's cold outside. Cherish the time you have to share and learn about God's creation during this time of the year.

A Valentine's Day Dose of Winter Cheer

Happy Valentine's Day, all of you homeschool heroines! I hope you have a sweet Valentine's Day, which is for me a bright spot in the midst of what can sometimes feel like a dreary winter. On this special day, remember God's love for you and your love for your family. And remember, too, that it's ok if you don't have all the answers - you can always ask for help.

One Reason for the Blahs

If you have the February blahs and are having trouble jumping back into school this semester, resist the temptation to compare your homeschooling with other mamas. God gave your children to you and He trusts you. Trust him and be confident in the job he gave to you.

Homeschooling is a Natural Thing

Sometimes homeschooling mamas get discouraged and feel like they are at the end of their rope. And sometimes they feel strange or singled out for homeschooling their children.

I want to assure you of this fact: being a homeschool mom is a natural thing. It is not a weird thing.

Many mamas have some blue days in the winter. Sometimes February can feel particularly bleak. For homeschooling mamas, this shortest month of the year can feel very long.
